Collection essentials #2: 3D Tic-Tac-Toe (2600)

Of all the super prevalent games that everyone knows, Tic-Tac-Toe is obviously the worst because anyone with half a brain will force a draw every single time. But what if the game was played on a 4x4 grid instead of 3x3...and then that was multiplied a few times?? That's the premise of 3D Tic-Tac-Toe, where you can line up 4 in a row in any one of the four grids OR string together 4 in a row in a straight or diagonal series of squares through each plane. It's a rather simple game in concept, but super challenging to actually play well because there are so many possibilities to account for. It's great for 2 players, and it's also a nice challenge to play against the computer, which is tough even at the lowest difficulty level. This game is an ideal fit on the Atari 2600!
